Internet directory system and method using telephone number based addressing

An Internet directory system and method that is based on user telephone number addressing. The system includes an interactive white and yellow pages directory that is based on telephone numbers. Thus, a user's telephone number is a unique identifier used to key other information within the directory. The telephone number may also be used as the primary component of an email address, domain name, or web site URL for the user. The use of a telephone number as the primary component of an e-mail address or domain name greatly simplifies the process of locating a user. E-mail addresses and domain names may be readily found using standard telephone information services, such as "411", as well as other telephone-based methods for obtaining telephone directory information. This Internet directory system and method brings all communication methods and directory services together using one searchable key, a user's telephone number. The directory entry page may be created, edited and updated by the subscriber using simple html editing or using a voice telephone call or via fax, without the use of a personal computer. Thus, the present invention provides an open directory model wherein the end users construct the directory, and the directory is "living", i.e., dynamically changeable and updateable. The power of the directory is thus placed in the users' hands. The telephone based Internet directory system of the present invention also provides addressing for unified messaging as well as locality in addressing.

Method and system for top-down business process definition and execution

A system and method is presented utilizing a set of software tools for the graphical definition of top-down workflow process models. Once defined, these models are completely useable enterprise applications that can be deployed in real-time without interrupting current business operations. The present invention has three main components: the process designer, the process server, and the process clients. The process designer allows users to define the business processes from the top down without programming. The process definitions are made up of components, such as tasks and subprocesses. Tasks are work items that are performed either by a human or automatically by an existing system. Tasks in the present invention incorporate all GUI panels necessary for an end-user to complete the task. Events link the process components together, defining control flow and providing a means for data flow through the process model. Process models also include roles, end-users, business logic, and other components that allow parallel processing, synchronization, and timing of services. Adapters allow business data and logic external to the present invention to be incorporated into the process model. The process model definitions are then installed on the process server, which presents the tasks to end-users. End-users access and perform tasks through the process clients.

Biometric authentication card and method of fabrication thereof

A credit card size authentication card is manufactured using innovative sensor technology, processor technology, power generation and storage, panel display and integration technology. The front of the card has a data display and an exposed, biometric sensor. Internally the card has one or more flex boards that carry low profile, surface-mounted electronic components including a processor that provides the control functions and mathematical calculations to generate a series of random personal identification numbers (PINs) in the display. The random PINs are derived from a biometric seed number obtained during initialization of the card by a discrete user. The electronic circuitry controlling and interconnecting the processor, the sensor and the display is powered by a power system including a thin film battery, a thin film power generator and a low profile power regulator. The thin film power generator preferably comprises a thin film solar collector or RF antenna circuit for energy harvesting. The thin film power generator and thin film battery are layered and preferably docked to the flex board carrying the primary components of the card. The card panels are formed from panel sheets which may be reverse printed with the top or front panel sheets having clear or translucent windows for the data display and solar collectors and die cut to expose the sensor elements.

Two-component wet cement, process and application thereof

The technical field of the invention belongs to concrete and cement. The invention relates to a sialite binary wet cement and its package, transportation, storage and application. The sialite binary wet cement is composed of a “female body” as a primary component and a “male body” as a secondary component both of which are produced, stored, and transported separately, and are mixed together when they are used, wherein the “female body” and the “male body” each have a specific surface area of 2800-7500 cm2/g, the “female body” is mainly composed of inorganic cementitious materials and water, and it is in slurry, paste or wet powder form during the whole period of its production, storage, transportation and usage; the “male body” is mainly composed of inorganic cementitious materials, and it can be a wet form or a dry powder form. When they are used, the “female body” and the “male body” are mixed together with a small amount of regulating agents. There is no generation of dust, SO2, NOx and CO2 during production and application of the sialite binary wet cement. Therefore heavy pollution of a traditional cement industry is avoided, and energy consumption and cost of product are decreased. The starting materials of the said cement mainly come from natural mineral, various slag and cinder. The said cement can be used for building, traffic, water conservancy, nine filling, timbering, and solidation of roadbed.

Circuit interrupting device with automatic end of life test

The present invention provides to a circuit interrupting device, particularly a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), with a test circuit which is capable of automatically generating a simulated leakage current to detect whether the service life of the circuit interrupting device has ended, i.e., whether the main components of the device are working properly, when the device is properly connected to power input terminals and in a tripped state. The test circuit contains an end-of-service-life integrated circuit chip, which is connected to a switch that interacts with the reset button, thereby, by observing whether the device is capable of resetting, a user can determine whether the service life of the device has ended, i.e., if the device can be reset, the device is working properly; if the device cannot be reset, the service life of the device has ended. Optionally, the circuit interrupting device contains an indicating light on the face of the device, thereby, by observing whether a normal status indicating light or a problem status indicating light is turned on and displayed on the face of the device, the user can determine whether the service life of the device has ended. The circuit interrupting device also possesses a forcible tripping mechanism through the operation of the test button to interrupt the power output to the device. The present invention also provides methods for detecting the end of service life of the circuit interrupting device.
