This application relates to a movable
coal-fired
spontaneous combustion prevention and monitoring device and method for use in silos. The device's power supply module moves periodically along a preset path laid out on the inner wall of the
silo, and is connected to a control module to supply power to the control module. The control module is mounted on the power supply module and connected to a
temperature monitoring module. The
temperature monitoring module includes a telescopic temperature sensor and a
temperature sensing element mounted on the telescopic temperature sensor. Under the action of the control module, the telescopic temperature sensor extends relative to the control module to insert into the
coal inside the
silo and measures the temperature through the
temperature sensing element. It also retracts relative to the control module to detach from the
coal. This method enables automatic monitoring of coal
pile temperature changes periodically, saving manpower. The telescopic temperature sensor, when extended and inserted into the coal, monitors a wide range of temperature changes within the coal
pile, facilitating early warning and timely detection of early
spontaneous combustion hazards.
