The invention discloses a method for detecting
formaldehyde in
nail polish. The method comprises the following steps: S1, preparing a control solution, namely respectively adding
formaldehyde standard solutions of different concentrations into a
hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution, and stirring and mixing uniformly for 10-20 minutes so as to obtain control solutions of different concentrations; S2, drawing standard curves, namely detecting absorbancy of the control solutions of different concentrations in the step S1 by using an
ultraviolet spectrophotometer, and drawing standard curves; S3, preparing a sample solution, namely uniformly mixing
nail polish with water, performing ultrasonic treatment for 30-50 minutes, centrifuging so as to obtain supernate, putting the supernate into a
hydroxylamine hydrochloride solution, and stirring and mixing uniformly for 10-20 minutes so as to obtain a sample solution; and S4, detecting the sample solution, namely detecting the absorbancy of the sample solution obtained in the step S3 by using the
ultraviolet spectrophotometer, and calculating the concentration of
formaldehyde in the sample solution according to a
standard curve external standard method. The method is simple to operate and free of interference of phenolic substances.
