And the method mainly comprises: interconnecting BWA (broadband wireless access) network via CM (cable modem) with MSO (multiservice operator) network at the reference point CMRFI in the MSO network, and interconnecting MSO network and DSL (digital subscriber line) via CMTS (cable modem terminal system) at reference point V. And it can solve the interconnection problem of WiMAX network, DSL network and MSO broadband network. And it can replace wired access of DOCSIS (data over cable service interface specification) and DSL as wireless extension of wired access of DOCSIS and DSL. Based on the concept of WiMAX over DOCSIS (WiMAX over DOCSIS network), it can use WiMAX access network construction utilize the original distributed HFC (hybrid fiber coax) transmission network resources, directly avoiding extra interconnecting cabling of base station return and thus reducing construction cost of WiMAX access network.
