Benefits of technology

This patented technology uses special techniques for transmitting signals over wired communication systems without being visible or accessible outside their own control by assigning specific frequencies called busy tones that help reduce interference with other devices within range. These techniques allow multiple users on different stations to share one frequency band simultaneously while still maintaining high signal quality throughput rates. Additionally, this technique allows for efficient use of space inside buildings where Wireless Access Points (WAP) may be located. Overall, this new approach helps create better overall performance and reliability for WLAN communications.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving efficient distribution systems where nodes exchange media access signals without interference from neighboring devices transmitting their signal simultaneously during times when they want to transmit new messages.

Embodiment Construction

[0027] Such as figure 1 As shown in (a) and (b), a busy tone channel is added to the frequency band of the wireless network. This channel is an extremely narrow-band channel, and can even be a single-frequency channel, so it will not affect the bandwidth of the wireless channel. Since the present invention does not need to transmit signals in one channel while receiving signals in another channel, only one transceiver is needed, and a band-pass filter or coherent detection method is used in the receiving direction to separate the two signals.

[0028] After adopting this method, when a certain node is occupying the channel to send data packets, other nodes can use the busy tone channel to compete for the channel, so that the number of idle time slots between two transmitted data packets reaches the minimum (at most no more than 1).

[0029] The present invention also proposes a new backoff algorithm in terms of conflict avoidance. Since the present invention is a distributed ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a distributed media access protocol of a wireless LAN and a wireless self-organized network. A busy tone channel is added in a frequency band of the wireless network, the channel is a channel of an extreme narrowing band, even a single frequency channel, so the band width of the wireless channel is not influenced. The backoff algorithm adopted by the invention does not need to receive signals or monitor the channel by another channel when a channel is transmitting signals, so the mobile node only needs a transceiver, two signals are separated by adopting a band-pass filter or a method of related detection in the receiving direction, the cost and the power consumption of the mobile node are not increased. In addition, the invention adopts a new backoff algorithm, on one hand, the idle time slot number between two transmitted data packets is reduced; on the other hand, the probability of interference occurrence is reduced.
