Abstract

The invention discloses a method and equipment for evaluating an emotion state, promoting emotion balance and evaluating an emotion regulating effect. According to one embodiment, the method and the equipment are used for computing an emotion balance index showing flexibility information of an autonomic nervous system according to a power spectrum density in results of a frequency domain analysis on heart rate variability, which is a measurement for excursion from a low frequency component and a high frequency component in a heart rate signal to a balance frequency. In the embodiment, equipment is provided for acquiring a real-time heart rate signal and the real-time heart rate signal is processed by special equipment, a personal computer, hand-holding equipment or other processing devices.
