The method comprises the following steps of: detecting an environment brightness value and an environment noise value as well as a vibration degree value of the portable terminal; and adjusting the ringing strength according to the comprehensive influence of the environment brightness value, the environment noise value and the vibration degree value, wherein the ringing strength represents the vibration strength and / or the ringing volume.
