Abstract

The invention discloses an automatic clearing method for terminal registry. The method includes comparing registries and on-line lists of Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) or Ethernet over coax (EOC) through a simple network management protocol (SNMP) agent; clearing a terminal with the longest offline time automatically when the registry is full so as to prevent the phenomenon that registration information of an original terminal remains in the registry after a user tests or changes the terminal, and results in failure of normal registration of a new terminal. According to the automatic clearing method for the terminal registry, reliable operation of a device is improved, faults caused by full registries after a long-time running is reduced, positioning of the device with a full registry is accelerated, and maintaining work is decreased.
