Abstract

A seamless data transmission system between a digital TV network and a mobile communication network. The system receives a digital television signal from a digital television network and detects a decoding bit error rate of the digital television signal at a first frequency. When the decoding bit error rate detected at the first frequency is continuously greater than the first threshold value, the decoding bit error rate of the digital TV signal is detected at the second frequency and the average signal strength of the mobile communication network is detected. When the decoding bit error rate detected with the second frequency is continuously greater than the second threshold and the average signal strength is continuously greater than the third threshold, establish a network connection with the multimedia server through the mobile communication network and receive multimedia data from the multimedia server.
