The invention provides a method for performing time slicing and resource mapping on type 2 physical layer pipes (PLP) data in a next generation broadcasting television networks-wireless (NGB-W). The method is characterized by comprising: mapping unit words in all the type 2PLP in a present NGB-W frame in sequence in a plurality of time sub-slices in the present NGB-W frame, completing time slicing of data in all the type 2 physical layer pipes corresponding to the present NGB-W frame; and mapping the unit words in all the type 2PLP in the present NGB-W frame in sequence in an OFDM data bearing unit, and completing resource mapping of data in all the 2PLP in the present NGB-W frame. Compared with the prior art, the method for time slicing and resource mapping enables to perform time slicing and resource mapping on data in the type 2PLP under the condition that the number of unit words of the type 2PLP mapping into the corresponding frame cannot be divided with no remainder by the number of time sub-slices.
