Abstract

The invention relates to a negative pressure irrigation system and method. The system comprises a negative pressure underground irrigation device and a negative pressure regulator. The negative pressure underground irrigation device irrigates crops under the action of negative pressure. The negative pressure regulator automatically regulates negative pressure of the system. A soil humidity sensor is used for monitoring water content of soil in real time, the real-time soil water content and expert's information about current actual water demand of crops are combined in a controller, and an optimal irrigation strategy is formulated. A step motor is driven for direction and speed regulation according to the optimal irrigation strategy, vertical position of a lift table is controlled, the position of a water supply unit can be regulated, water supply suction of the system is dynamically regulated, and accordingly the soil water content is dynamically regulated so as to truly supply water according to demands of the crops.
