Abstract

The invention provides a lighting device which can adjust the illumination and color temperature of irradiation light. The lighting device can prevent eyes from getting fatigue easily even if the illumination is increased to improve the readability of characters, thereby allowing long-time visual tasks and saving energy. The lighting device comprises a first light source unit emitting light with a specified color temperature, a second light source unit emitting light with a color temperature different from that of the first light source unit, and a control unit for controlling light adjustment for the light source units separately. The control unit adjusts an output ratio of the light source units to make the illumination and color temperature of the irradiation light to change in an inverse correlation manner. The color temperature drops if the illumination rises, so that the glare of the irradiation light is inhibited even if the illumination is increased to improve the readability of characters, and eyes are prevented from getting fatigue easily, thereby allowing long-time visual tasks. Besides, the color temperature rises when the illumination decreases, so that the illumination decreases while the readability of characters is maintained, thereby saving energy.
