An object of the present invention is to provide a stereoscopic video recording method, a stereoscopic video recording medium, a stereoscopic video reproducing method, a stereoscopic video recording apparatus, and a stereoscopic video reproducing apparatus that are capable of more optimally performing recording and reproduction of stereoscopic video. According to one solving means of the present invention, a stereoscopic video recording method records, in a recording medium, stereoscopic video including left-eye images (2) and right-eye images (1) utilizing parallax information, by using a stereoscopic video recording apparatus (6). From video content that contains stereoscopic images, the method grasps the amount of variation in parallactic angle having a given or larger value, a variation time that the variation in parallactic angle takes, and the number of times that the variation in parallactic angle occurs. The method then calculates an evaluation value that corresponds to the degree of eye fatigue on the basis of the amount of variation, the variation time, and the number of times of the variation, encodes the video content in such a manner that the evaluation value is within a given range, and records the encoded video content in the recording medium.

Method of enhancing the readability of rapidly displayed text

A method of enhancing the readability of rapidly displayed text and with rapid apprehension, at a rate which is greater than the maximum unaided reading capability of that subject using the method. The method comprises a rapid and sequential moving of the words of text through a window on a screen of a computer monitor. In accordance with the method, the words are allowed to pass through or be displayed in the display window, one word at a time, and at a rate in which the time for display which is based on the number of characters in a word is related to and a function of the total amount of time required for all of the words in a segment of the text to be displayed. A time for display of each word of average character length is the same, and that certain words in a segment will be displayed for a longer period of time than other of the words. Usually, the words which contain more characters will have a longer display period. The present invention also provides an area on the screen of the monitor in which the previously read words of the segment of the text are printed as a full display, such that the reader may rapidly review the words of that segment previously presented on the window of the monitor, and then also rapidly scan entire portions of the text which have already been displayed. The method also involves the use of a selected color and patterned background, to enhance readability. In accordance with this method, the reading rate is substantially increased, and eye fatigue and strain is substantially reduced.

Intelligent display system automatically tracking head posture

The invention relates to an intelligent display system automatically tracking a head posture. The system can capture the head posture of a human body in real time, a display follows the head of the human body, the display and the head are constantly kept at optimum positions, eye fatigue can be relieved, and myopia can be prevented. The system comprises an image acquisition module, a vision algorithm processing module and a display control module. The image acquisition module is used for acquiring the image of the head of the human body in real time; the vision algorithm processing module is used for firstly preprocessing the image, constantly keeping the head at a vertical position in the image, secondly extracting feature points of a human face by the aid of an ASM (active shape model) algorithm, and finally acquiring the spatial posture of the head according to the triangular surveying principle of elevation angles and side-tipping angles. Head posture information is transmitted to a steering gear control module and then calculated by a single chip microcomputer to form a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal for controlling a steering gear, so that the display follows the head posture at two degrees of freedom of elevation and side-tipping.
