Abstract

The present invention relates to a security camera device for monitoring the outside of an elevator with a monitor. The security camera device includes: a security camera (10) installed on a surface of a cage door (D1) of an elevator; an infrared lamp (20) installed adjacent to the security camera (10) to illuminate a building corridor at night; a sensor unit (30) which senses a time at which the cage door (D1) precisely matches with a hall door (D2) of the elevator; a window (W) formed in the hall door (D2) corresponding to a front surface of the security camera (10) and the infrared lamp (20), covered with transparent glass and having a size sufficient to cover a viewing angle (A) of the security camera (10); and a controller (40) connected to the security camera, the infrared lamp and the sensor unit to control the operation of the security camera, the infrared lamp and the sensor unit and to store data. The security camera (10) photographs a dynamic image at a normal time. When the sensor unit (30) senses that both doors (D1, D2) are accurately matched with each other, the security camera (10) photographs a still image under the control of the controller. The dynamic image and the still image photographed by the security camera are displayed on the monitor (M) by the controller.
