A mobile terminal and controlling method thereof are disclosed, by which various convenience functions can be provided in association with a device contacted with or proximate to a user's body to enable a human body communication. The present disclosure includes a human body communication unit configured to use a human body as a transmission medium to transmit signals to a wearable device, a touch screen, and a controller configured to control communication between the device worn by a user and a mobile device through the human body communication unit. If a 1st touch is inputted to the touchscreen and a 2nd touch is then inputted by maintaining the 1st touch, device information is exchanged with the device while at least one of the 1st touch and the 2nd touch is maintained, and the information of the device is displayed on the touchscreen using the exchanged device information.
