The method comprises receiving a call request corresponding to a first SIM card, reading registration information of the first SIM card in a first memory region and establishing communication connection according to the read registration information of the first SIM card; reading registration information of a second SIM card in the first memory region, wherein the second SIM card and the first SIM card are corresponding to the same service provider identification, and detecting a call request corresponding to the second SIM card according to the registration information of the second SIM card; and generating a reminding message for reminding whether to switch according to the call request corresponding to the second SIM card. The invention also discloses a communication device based on the dual-card dual-standby single-communication terminal. Through the communication method and device, the dual-card dual-standby single-communication terminal is allowed to receive the incoming call information of the two SIM cards simultaneously, thereby improving call completing rate and improving user experience.
