Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device used for controlling access to a WIFI hot spot. The method comprises steps that, a request which is from mobile equipment and is used for connecting with the WIFI hot spot is received, and the request contains equipment identification of the mobile equipment; a network flow consumed by the equipment identification through the WIFI hot spot is determined, and a flow threshold value corresponding to the equipment identification is determined; whether the mobile equipment is accessed to the WIFI hot spot is determined according to the flow threshold value and the consumed network flow. Through the method, the network flow consumed by the equipment accessed to the WIFI hot spot can be effectively managed, and a problem that use experience of equipment providing the WIFI hot spot is influenced by the large-amount consumed flow of the mobile terminal accessed to the WIFI hot spot is solved.
