Abstract

The invention discloses a television channel searching method. When a non-standard channel searching instruction is detected, a non-standard frequency point corresponding to the currently used television signal of a television is acquired. After that, the acquired non-standard frequency point is inserted into preset standard frequency points, so that a searching frequency point set is generated. All searching frequency points in the searching frequency point set are invoked in turn for the channel searching operation, wherein the difference between at least one pair of adjacent frequency points in the searching frequency point set is smaller than the difference between adjacent frequency points of preset standard frequency points. The invention also discloses a television channel searching system. According to the technical scheme of the invention, the channel searching operation of a television is enabled based on standard frequency points and non-standard frequency points at the same time. Therefore, the channel missing probability of the television during the channel searching process can be reduced.
