Abstract

The invention relates to a method and device for determining the starting duration of an application program. The method includes: determining a similarity value between a first histogram corresponding to a first frame of an video and a second histogram corresponding to each frame during playing of the video so as to obtain a similarity curve, wherein the video is used for recording a starting process of the application program; determining a first target frame and a second target frame of the video in the similarity curve; and determining the starting duration of the application program according to the first target frame and the second target frame. The method and the device can achieve automatic test of the application program during the starting process, and can avoid the situation that the frames of the video is viewed one by one through a man and the starting time point and the starting completion time point of the application program is recorded manually; and the test efficiency of the application program can be improved.
