Abstract

The invention discloses an AP (Access Point) configuration method. The method comprises the steps of manually configuring the range of an IP (Internet Protocol) address pool of a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol DHCP, a gateway address and an AC (Access Controller) address by a configuration server; and generating a mapping table, wherein the number of rows of the mapping table is equal to the number of IP addresses in the IP address pool, and manually filling in an AP name and an AP location identifier in the mapping table. The invention further provides the configuration server, an AP and an AP configuration system. The AP configuration method, the configuration server, the AP and the system provided by the invention have the following beneficial effects: the accuracy of IP address allocation can be ensured by the protocol, IP address conflict and waste can be avoided, and an MAC address, an IP address, a name and location identifier information of the AP form the mapping table, thereby facilitating post maintenance, greatly simplifying a process of AP initialization configuration, saving time and reducing the maintenance cost.
