The invention discloses a system and a method for searching neighborhood anchors on the basis of map service, and relates to the field of anchor positioning and searching during video live broadcast. An anchor end of the system comprises an anchor end initializing module and an anchor end positioning module; a watching end of the system comprises a watching end initializing module, a watching end positioning module and an anchor information acquiring module. The method includes acquiring geographic location information of anchors by the aid of the anchor end positioning module when live broadcast is started by the anchors, reporting the geographic location information of the anchors to a map service platform and storing the geographic location information of the anchors; acquiring geographic location information of audience by the aid of the watching end positioning module when the audiences watch the live broadcast, and reporting the geographic location information of the audiences to the map service platform; retrieving all the neighborhood anchors currently in live broadcast by the aid of the map service platform according to the geographic location information of the audiences; querying corresponding anchor information from servers of a live-broadcast platform server by the aid of the watching end according to retrieval results so as to search the neighborhood anchors. The system and the method have the advantages that particular implementation schemes can be provided for functions of searching the neighborhood anchors, the system and the method are accurate and reliable, and service requirements of users can be met.
