Problems solved by technology

However, due to the introduction of new technologies, the computational complexity of intra prediction in screen content coding is increased, so it is urgent to propose a fast algorithm to reduce the complexity of intra prediction in screen content coding
[0005] Although many scholars have achieved important research results in fast coding algorithms, most of these algorithms are designed for natural videos captured by cameras, and are not effective for screen content.

Embodiment 1

[0036] The embodiment of the present invention provides a method for dividing screen content and natural content and fast coding, see figure 2 , the encoding method includes the following steps:

[0037] 101: Distinguishing the coding unit between natural content and screen content according to spatial correlation and statistical features;

[0038] According to the video content contained in the CU itself, the CU can be divided into a natural content coding unit (NCCU) and a screen content coding unit (SCCU). In addition, if the neighboring CUs of the current CU belong to the NCCU, then according to the spatial correlation, the current CU is likely to belong to the NCCU as well.

[0039] Therefore, spatial correlations and statistical features are jointly used to distinguish natural video CUs from screen content CUs. The constraints of spatial correlation are obtained based on the best prediction modes of the current CU left, top, and top left CU. According to the analysis...

Embodiment 2

[0057] As an important extended application of HEVC, screen content coding shows excellent coding performance for screen content video. In the screen content coding standard, the introduction of new technologies brings obvious gains to the performance of the coding standard, but the coding complexity also increases accordingly. Mixed-type video is an important type of screen content video, which has some characteristics different from natural videos captured by cameras. Therefore, traditional fast algorithms are no longer applicable to mixed-type videos.

[0058] Combine below figure 2 And the calculation formula further describes the scheme in embodiment 1, see below for details:

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for dividing and quickly encoding screen contents and natural contents. The encoding method comprises the following steps: distinguishing the natural contents and the screen contents of encoding units according to spatial correlation and statistical characteristics; performing quick mode selection on the natural content encoding unit through a flag bit flagskip formula; performing quick depth judgment on the natural content encoding unit through an optimal depth formula of the current encoding unit; and selecting a depth and a mode having the minimum RD price through a rate distortion optimization process to perform encoding. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the difference between the screen contents and the natural contents is fully considered, and unnecessary modes and depth traversal are conditionally skipped in combination with the own characteristics of the natural contents, thereby realizing quick encoding of the screen contents and shortening the overall encoding time.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of screen content coding, in particular to a division of screen content and natural content and a fast coding method. Background technique [0002] With the development of network technology and digital equipment, more and more remote applications appear. With the vigorous development of applications such as screen sharing, remote desktop, remote display, and cloud computing, screen content video has attracted widespread attention. Screen content video refers to video that contains computer-generated content such as cartoons, text, graphics, etc. At present, it is no longer the ultimate goal to provide powerful computing equipment for everyone, and it is possible for people to connect with supercomputers and develop applications through personal terminal equipment. Therefore, people have higher and higher requirements for high-definition and high-quality screen content videos. This requires compressing the screen c...
