Abstract

The method comprises the following steps that all media servers are registered to a same media manager; the media manager acquires the size of a resource requested by a third-party application program, whether or not the media server with a biggest available resource meets the requested resource is judged, if yes, delivery is directly conducted by the media server, and if not, cascading is triggered; the media server with the biggest available resource is taken as a main server, the other media servers are taken as cascaded subservers, and the media manager allocates the requested resource to the main server and at least one cascaded subservers; and the main server and the cascaded subservers receive data streams from a source terminal through the bridge according to an allocation rule of the media manager. According to the method, the media delivery capacity of a single conference can be effectively improved, and effective improvement of the media delivery capacity can be achieved by continuously cascading the media servers.
