The method comprises the following steps: selecting progenies of premature high-productivity larger-individual male bamboo rats and female bamboo rats as the strains; selecting breeding bamboo rats, which can give birth more than 4 times a year and produce more than 4 babies each time, as the strains; adding a proper amount of nutrients according to the growth of the bamboo rats to supplement minerals by feeding bones of pigs, cattle, fishes and crabs to the bamboo rats 2-6 times a week, wherein the bones of pigs and cattle are firstly stewed for 1-3 hours, dried in air, pulverized into powder and fed to the bamboo rats, and 3-6g of the powder is fed to each bamboo rat every time; and temporarily covering the delivery room with a cloth to enable the female rats to give birth in a quiet and dark environment, breeding the female rats with succulent feed, and avoiding adding feed into the delivery room after delivery, thereby avoiding disturbing the baby rats and female rats. The method can effectively enhance the breeding efficiency (breeding quantity) of bamboo rats by 10-15%.
