The method comprises the following steps: establishment of a BIM database, storage of BIM component classifying elements (including a space structure, a component classifying system and WBS), selection of associated classifying elements of construction engineering documents, storage of construction engineering documents and associated classifying elements thereof, and fuzzy searching of construction engineering documents according to an association relation between construction engineering documents and classifying elements. By the relation of spatial attributes, logic classifying attributes and time attributes of the various construction engineering documents and components in BIM, accurate and rapid classification of the construction engineering documents of BIM is realized, and the classifying workload is reduced; and the BIM-based construction engineering document classifying, storing and searching method and system can support engineering managers to rapidly search the construction engineering documents according to familiar work tasks, component types, space division and terms such as document name and the like, and the engineering data querying and using efficiency can be improved effectively.
