The control method comprises the steps of setting a selective switch, a competition module and a summation module on a control main loop of the synchronous generator excitation system; obtaining the type of an additional input signal input to the control main loop of the synchronous generator excitation system; controlling the additional input signal to be input to a corresponding superposition point through the selective switch according to the type of the additional input signal; and determining the superposition mode of the additional input signal according to the competition module and the summation module corresponding to the selective switch. The type of the additional signal input to the control main loop of the synchronous generator excitation system is judged, and then the additional signal is controlled to select the proper superposition point and superposition mode according to the type of the additional signal, so that it is ensured that the output additional signals do not conflict when two or more than two additional control modules are in output in the excitation system, thereby further avoiding the problem of unit power oscillation.
