Abstract

The invention relates to a performance test method for low-medium temperature SOFCs. The performance test method specifically comprises the following steps based on a test using electronic loads as anelectrical measuring device: 1) preparing before testing; 2) determining battery activation and a current scanning upper limit; 3) performing fast constant current scanning (a transient performance fast test); 4) performing slow constant current scanning (a quasi-steady state performance test); 5) carrying out a further current scanning test; 6) performing steady-state polarization measurement; and 7) processing experimental data. The method emphasizes two points of the steady-state maintenance and detailed recording of test conditions in the fuel cell measurement process. By using the method, performances of various different SOFCs can be evaluated accurately, simply, efficiently and intuitively. The data obtained by the test is comprehensive and actual working performances of the fuel cells can be better reflected.
