Abstract

The invention provides a self-adaptive distribution method and system of a multi-user 360 DEG video streaming server-side code rate. The method comprises the following steps: partitioning a 360-DEG video stream into a series of video stream time slices by combining a dynamic self-adaptive streaming media technology at a server, further partitioning one time slice into multiple space slices, encoding each space slice into multiple versions with different code rates and caching the same. The joint code rate-distortion performance difference between each video time slice and the space slice, thenetwork connection situation of each user-side, prediction watching view distance, the head movement state and the video on demand probability distribution are taken into consideration; the video space slice code rate version required to be downloaded by each user is determined by adopting the code rate self-adaptive distribution algorithm at the server-side, thereby finally realizing the maximization of the multiuser total video watching experience. Through the method provided by the invention, the bandwidth utilization rate of the 360-DEG video stream transmission is improved, and the bettervideo quality of service is provided for the user.
