By adopting the pss table to control the actual operationfrequency of the CPU, when CPU overclocking needs to be achieved, only the maximum frequency value of the CPU needs to be written into the pss table, the maximum frequency value is a maximum frequencyvalue which can be supported by the CPU and obtained through calculation in advance after the P-state function and the Turbo mode function of BIOS are started. The overclocking process of the CPU issimplified, the problem of heat dissipation caused by long-time overclocking of the CU is avoided, and the influence on the service life of the CPU is low. The invention further provides a CPU overclocking system, a computer readable storage medium and a server, which have the above beneficial effects.
