The minimum equal steam exhausting flow characteristiccurve, the minimum main steam flow characteristic curve and the maximum main steam flow characteristic curve considering the proper running safety allowance of a practical running low-pressure cylinder are calculated and determined according to heating unit design thermoelectric characteristics and rated heating design work condition parameters; and the peak load regulation minimum output and thepeak load regulation maximum output considering the proper running safety allowance of a heating unit in the heating state are calculated through the determined characteristic curved by synthesizingthe unit practical running heating steam exhaust flow, and therefore the peak load regulation output range of the existing heating unit under specific heating loads is defined. The method can be usedfor evaluating the peak load regulation output range of the heating unit under the specific heating loads, and important reference data are provided for accurate and reliable dispatching of the heating unit for a power grid in the heating period.
