Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a PCIE path configuration method and device, a terminal and a medium which relate to a computer technology, and are used for solving the problem that in the related art, one type of graphics card firmware is only fixedly configured with a lane of one type of corresponding PCIE slot, so that some types of PCIE graphics cards cannot be used in lower slots andcorresponding systems. The method comprises the following steps: configuring a PCIE path of a current PCIE slot into a first type of path through video card firmware; when that the PCIE display cardinstalled in the current PCIE slot is not successfully connected is determined, controlling a PCIE controller to reset through the display card firmware, and configuring the PCIE path as a second typeof path, wherein the number of the channels of the second kind of channels is smaller than that of the channels of the first kind of channels.
