The compartment comprises a compartment body with an end face hole formed in the end face and a rotating body matched with the end face hole, wherein two battery jars are formed in the side surface of the rotating body; a protective cover, wherein the side surface of the protective cover is in threaded connection with the inner side wall of the end face hole; two conductive springs which are fixed to the end face of the protective cover, wherein one conductive spring is electricallyconnected with the positive electrode of the water meter, and the other conductive spring is electrically connected with the positive electrode of the charging head; two telescopic grooves which areformed in the bottom of the end face hole, telescopic blocks which are slidably connected with the telescopic grooves, and conductive elastic pieces which are fixed to the end faces of the telescopicblocks, wherein one conductive elastic piece is electrically connected with the negative electrode of the water meter, and the other conductive elastic piece is electrically connected with the negative electrode of the charging head; a telescopic part which is arranged in the telescopic groove; and a driving part which is arranged in the bin body and used for driving the rotating body to rotate. By means of the two rechargeable batteries in the device, the intelligent water meter can achieve uninterrupted power supply, and uninterrupted data collection is guaranteed.
