The invention discloses a routing management method and device, the method is applied to a routing system comprising a routing platform and a forwarding platform, and the routing platform stores a border network protocol BGP route and a first route; the method comprises the following steps: when the routing platform monitors that the first routing is changed from an active state to an inactive state, starting a pseudo-active state timer, and setting the first routing state as the pseudo-active state so as to keep a BGP routing recurding to the first routing unchanged; when the pseudo active state timer does not exceed a preset duration, the routing platform receives an update message of the first route, and sends an announcement of updating the first route to the forwarding platform; and the forwarding platform updates the first route and the BGP route recurding to the first route according to the notification.
