Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of intelligent household electrical appliances, and discloses a method for controlling an intelligent household electrical appliance to assist sleep. The method comprises: determining a sleep state of a target user; determining target aromatherapy and target aromatherapy release parameters according to the sleep state of the target user; and controlling an aromatherapy device to release the target aromatherapy according to the target aromatherapy release parameters so as to assist the user in sleeping; wherein the sleep state comprises a sleeping period state, a light sleep period state, a heavy sleep period state or a rapid eye movement period state. According to the method, different types of aromatherapy can be controlled to be released according to different sleep stages of the user, the aromatherapy release parameters are adjusted, the requirements of the user in different sleep stages are met, and therefore the experience feeling of the user is improved.
