Problems solved by technology

One disadvantage that can be seen with such manual toothbrushes is that, for each new brushing session, it is necessary to align the brush head with a row of teeth so that the brush head can be conveniently placed on the teeth without being oriented laterally

Embodiment Construction

[0036] In FIGS. 1-9, the manual toothbrush consists of a handle 2, shown only partially in the drawings, and a brush head 3, which is mounted on a support head 43 on the front end 5 of the upper side 4 of the handle 2. . On the brushing side, the brush head 3 has a surface 6 from which bristle fields 12 , 13 , 14 and 15 ( FIGS. 2 and 5 ) protrude, said bristle fields consisting of several bristle tufts 8 which together form the bristles 7 . The surface 6 on the brushing side is preferably formed in a concave or shell-like curved form, so that with respect to the longitudinal axis 9 in FIGS. The regions face each other.

[0037] In a top view of the rear side 21 of the brush head 3, according to Figure 4 , the brush head extends substantially across the handle 2 and in its front region (in Figure 4 The upper part) has a bulge 17, ie so that the brush head 3, viewed from the rear side 21, essentially has an outer contour similar to that of the marine animal "manta ray".

Abstract

The invention relates to a manual toothbrush (1), which comprises a brush handle (2) and a brush head (3) fastened on the front end (5) of the brush handle (2). On the brushing end, the tufts of bristles (8) extend away from the surface (6) of the brush head (3) in their respective lateral edge regions. The free ends of the bristles converge only to the extent that they form tooth receiving spaces (19) and can simultaneously clean the inside and outside of one or more teeth during brushing. A support (22) is arranged between the brush head (3) and the handle (2) and allows the brush head (3) to pivot relative to the longitudinal axis (9) of the handle (2) during brushing. The present invention is characterized in that the support (22) is additionally provided with an elastic member (26) between the brush head (3) and the brush handle (2). The elastic member (26) is elastically pre-stressed when the brush head (3) pivots during brushing so that it returns the brush head (3) to its starting position once brushing has ended. The present invention provides a pivoting brush head that can always be returned to its starting position, so that the user can always conveniently place the brush head surrounding the teeth on the teeth.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a manual toothbrush according to the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] A manual toothbrush of this type is known from FR-2600512 A1. The bracket of the brush head is substantially realized in a U-shaped manner, so that the laterally inclined raised edge regions of the surface on the brushing side are positioned relative to each other. In this case, the bristle bundles converge only to such an extent that their free ends form receiving spaces into which individual teeth as well as gingival parts can penetrate during brushing. During brushing, the outside and inside of the teeth and gum margins are treated and cleaned in this way by the bristle tufts. The brush head is pivotally connected to the handle by means of a pivot bearing. Due to this measure, if the direction of the brush head is changed during the brushing process, it can also continuously surround the teeth, that is to say, there is no need to read...
