Abstract

The invention discloses a fingerprint identification system and method that can detects the pore, the system includes fingerprint viewfinder device, pore detecting unit, fingerprint detecting unit and identifying unit. The fingerprint viewfinder device is used to acquisite a fingerprint image, the pore detecting unit is used to detect the pore data of the fingerprint image, the fingerprint detecting unit is used to detect a fingerprint line data. The identifying unit is any selection or combination of the pore data and fingerprint line data; it compares the fingerprint image with presorted fingerprint image. So, the accuracy of the fingerprint identification can be improved.
