The cooking appliance 10 may be configured to produce any foodstuff including, but not limited to, flatbreads, tortillas, crepes, pitas, paninis, pancakes, naan, pizzelles, knaeckebrot, krumkakes, dosas, hamburgers, hotdogs, quesadillas, brats, or any other food. A cooking appliance for producing flatbreads or other foodstuffs including a first heating assembly and a second heating assembly. The first heating assembly includes a first cooking surface, and the second heating assembly includes a second cooking surface.
