BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]Oftentimes police officers use the publics' help in locating fleeing suspects in a crime. For example, a suspect in a bank robbery may have fled down a street with an officer in pursuit. When the suspect leaves the officer's view (e.g., rounds a corner), often times the officer is left to guess where the suspect fled. This leads to the officer oftentimes asking people nearby if they witnessed the suspect, and if so, what direction the suspect fled. In crowded spaces, there may be several people who saw the suspect flee, however identifying them can consume critical time in apprehending the suspect.
