The present utility model relates to a feed formulation for ZAMPEN native chicken (
Gallus gallus domesticus) hardening stage characterized by comprising of a basal diet formulation and supplemental feed formulation made from fermented forages. The basal diet formulation comprises: of 1 wt.% molasses, 0.1 wt.% vitamins and minerals, or a combination selected from the group comprising: energy-source component of 4.75 wt.% cassava, 7 wt.%, corn
bran, 50 wt.% corn yellow; a crude
protein component of 3.9 wt.% copra
meal, 20 wt.%
fish meal and 12 wt.%
soybean meal; and a
calcium source component of 0.35 wt.%
eggshell, 0.9 wt.% limestone. Whereas the supplemental feed formulation comprises: tricanthera,
azolla, duckweed, and vegetable trimmings of pechay (
Brassica rapa), mustasa (
Brassica juncea), alugbati (Basella alba), kangkong (
Ipomoea aquatica), and camote tops (
Ipomoea batatas). The said formulation aims to significantly enhance feed intake of the native chicken while reducing feed costs.
