Problems solved by technology

[0009] For example, a specific program is very short, and the user finds that he does not like the specific program at all after seeing most of the program content from the beginning of the program. The corresponding content characteristics are difficult to reflect the real interest of the user, because the program is too short, and the user plays most of it just for a trial.
[0010] Moreover, if the user begins to watch the program from the most part of the program content to the end of the program, in this way, based on the fact that the user has only watched a small part, it is considered that the user does not like this program and the corresponding content features, and it is difficult to reflect the user's opinion. Genuine interest, because it is likely that the user discovered that this particular show was also very good after watching other shows, so they watched this show from most of the show content
[0011] In addition, frequent interruptions, such as switching or pausing viewing, may also be caused by the user not liking the program very much
In this case, even if the user does not like to watch the program very much, in the case of multiple channel changes or pauses, it is possible to watch a long section of the program due to accumulation. If only this long section corresponds to It is also difficult to accurately reflect the user's interest
[0012] To sum up, the current method of estimating the user's interest in a program and correcting the user profile based on the length of time the user has watched a specific program and the total scheduled broadcast time of the specific program is not perfect enough and cannot be very accurate accurately reflect the real interest changes of users

Embodiment Construction

[0032] Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of an information recommendation system according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0033] The system 100 includes an interaction means 103 , a determination means 104 , an acquisition means 105 and a correction means 106 .

[0034] The interaction device 103 is used for monitoring the user's behavior on a specific program, and the program includes at least two segments corresponding to different time weights.

[0035] The user behavior includes the interruption position, the number of interruptions, the length of the playing segment from the corresponding viewing start position to the interruption position, etc. for each interruption of the above-mentioned program by the user. The viewing starting position may be the 0-minute position of a program, and the interruption position may be the playing end position of a program.

[0036] The time weight refers to a coefficient used to adjust the length of a playback segmen...

Abstract

A multimedia collaboration system that integrates separate real-time and asynchronous networks-the former for real-time audio and video, and the latter for control signals and textual, graphical and other data-in a manner that is interoperable across different computer and network operating system platforms and which closely approximates the experience of face-to-face collaboration, while liberating the participants from the limitations of time and distance. These capabilities are achieved by exploiting a variety of hardware, software and networking technologies in a manner that preserves the quality and integrity of audio / video / data and other multimedia information, even after wide area transmission, and at a significantly reduced networking cost as compared to what would be required by presently known approaches. The system architecture is readily scalable to the largest enterprise network environments. It accommodates differing levels of collaborative capabilities available to individual users and permits high-quality audio and video capabilities to be readily superimposed onto existing personal computers and workstations and their interconnecting LANs and WANs. In a particular preferred embodiment, a plurality of geographically dispersed multimedia LANs are interconnected by a WAN. The demands made on the WAN are significantly reduced by employing multi-hopping techniques, including dynamically avoiding the unnecessary decompression of data at intermediate hops, and exploiting video mosaicing, cut-and-paste and audio mixing technologies so that significantly fewer wide area transmission paths are required while maintaining the high quality of the transmitted audio / video.

Description

technical background [0001] The present invention relates to an information recommendation system, in particular to a method and device for estimating a user's degree of interest in a program. [0002] With the development of modern communication technology, people can get a lot of information at any time. However, the sharp increase in the amount of information makes people often at a loss, and people urgently need a tool that can help them quickly find the content they are really interested in, that is, a personalized information recommendation system. [0003] In order to meet the ever-changing user interests, the user profile (User Profile) in the information recommendation system also needs to be constantly changed. Therefore, how to dynamically modify the user profile in the recommendation system according to the user's interests (preferences) to recommend to the user the content that the user is really interested in has become a problem that needs to be solved at prese...
