Problems solved by technology

However, in actual use, for a BS, there may be hundreds of SS accesses, and each SS may establish multiple connections with the BS
At this time, the above queue may contain tens of thousands of classifiers. Using the above algorithm will inevitably lead to a long time-consuming classification operation, thereby reducing the data throughput of the BS.

Abstract

An implementing process of transmission convergence sublayer is used on a WiMAX base station on the basis of IP, which comprises the following two parts, the first part is the maintenance of a categorizer data structure which comprises the establishment, deletion, activation and activation release of the categorizer, the second part is that the execution of sort operations for the descending sectionalization, and the implementing key points lie in that firstly using target IP address prefix as index to establish a mapping mechanism from the target IP address of the descending sectionalizationto the relative categorizer subset, secondly searching for the relative categorizer subset through utilizing the target IP address prefix of the sectionalization, and then searching for the suitable categorizer which has the highest priority from the relative categorizer subset, thereby mapping the descending data sectionalization on the relative connection of the categorizer which is searched. The process especially conducts optimization on account of the target IP address, significantly increases the speed of the sort operation, and simultaneously, the processing algorism is simple and is easy to be realized.

Description

An IP-based Convergence Sublayer Implementation Method in a WiMAX Base Station technical field The invention relates to the broadband access technology of the worldwide interoperability system for microwave access (WiMAX), in particular to the realization method of the IP-based convergence sublayer (CS) in the media access control layer (MAC) of the WiMAX system. Background technique Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is an important wireless metropolitan area network technology, and its air interface part adopts the IEEE802.16 technical standard. The standard specifies the physical layer (PHY) and media access control layer (MAC) of the WiMAX air interface. Devices using the air interface in the WiMAX network include a Base Station (BS) and a Subscriber Station (SS). One BS provides access services for multiple SSs in a point-to-multipoint (PMP) manner. Based on the physical layer, the MAC layer provides connection-oriented communication services be...
