Embodiment Construction

[0028] As shown in Figure 1, an animal trap made in accordance with the present invention consists of relatively few components. The basic components include: a bottom housing 2 , a cover housing 7 , a triggering device 10 and an interlocking device 23 . These components are mainly made of plastic and can be produced in a simple manner by injection molding. To join these components together, hinge lugs 14 , 21 , 33 and corresponding hinge holes are provided, which are present in the form of recesses 15 , 22 , 34 . These fixing devices can be combined by means of quick-action connections.

[0029] It is further known from FIG. 1 that the top of the bottom shell 2 is open. It consists of two side panels 4, a rear panel 5 and an inlet 6 opposite to the rear panel. In the rear plate 5, an opening 29 is formed, into which the slide valve element 30 can be pushed from one side via a guide groove structure. This slide valve element 30 contains a bait loader 31 . As bait - depend...

Abstract

An animal trap (1) for capturing mice has a box-like housing with a base housing part (2) and a cover housing part (7) which is pivotably fixed to the said base housing part. The interior of the housing contains a triggering arrangement (10) of rocker-like design which has a stepping platform (12). The cover housing part can be kept in the open position with the aid of mechanical restraint means (11). A locking device (23) which is mounted on the cover housing part contains an unlocking knob (27) for re-establishing the open position, and an operating knob (25) for enabling the user to move the cover housing part (7) to the closed position.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an animal trap according to the preamble of claim 1 . Additionally, such animal traps are used to capture live rodents, especially mice or other small animals. Background technique [0002] There are already many familiar and commonly used mousetraps. A mousetrap of the same type is described, for example, in DE 20 2004 016 935 U1. The mousetrap is mainly composed of two box-shaped housings, which are rotatably connected approximately in the middle. At the same time, the lower shell protrudes upwards, and one end is opened. The rear end of the upper housing has a bait loading slot created by bending. If the mouse takes the bait from the chute, the trap will spin closed (gravity principle) due to the unbalanced nature of the upper housing. There is a disadvantage in the use of traps since the trap can only be kept open by placing the bait. In real life, we further found that false triggers may often occur, such as when an ...
