Embodiment Construction

[0025] Refer now to Figure 1. Describes a push system for delivering dynamic content to client applications. The system of Figure 1 is a simplified system showing the logical components required in the dynamic content delivery architecture. However, those skilled in the art can understand that there may be other components or various components may be combined together.

[0026] The framework 100 includes a content providing device 110. The content providing device 110 is arranged to provide dynamic content to the user. For example, an example of this may include a website selling books. The content providing device 110 may periodically provide a list of newly released books, and may send the list to subscribers who have subscribed to the website or a delivery server that manages the subscription.

[0027] In a preferred embodiment, the delivery server 120 communicates with the delivery client 140 located on the mobile device through the wireless network 130. The delivery client 1...

Abstract

A method and system for embedding metadata for mobile delivery into a syndicated content feed, the method having the steps of receiving content from a syndicated content provider; embedding into the content the metadata using a standard schema extension mechanism, thereby creating modified content; and publishing the modified content. Also, a delivery server and a method within the delivery server to repackage content into a single format wrapped content envelope for delivery.

Description

Technical field [0001] The method and system generally relate to a dynamic content transmission in a mobile environment, and more specifically, to the transmission of multiple formats of content. Background technique [0002] The users of mobile devices or mobile user equipment (UE) are becoming increasingly mature in terms of the functional requirements of their mobile devices and the way they access data from the mobile devices. [0003] Dynamic content delivery allows users to obtain information or data that is pushed to them without having to search for the data themselves. Examples of these data may include stock quotes, weather updates, business volume updates, dynamic wallpapers, advertisements, applications, or other data desired by the user. [0004] Currently, technologies such as Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) for mobile devices have the ability to push content. However, in order to meet the wireless application protocol and provide users with an unchanged unified...
