Hemming method and apparatus

Improved method and apparatus for interlocking hemmed together edges of inner and outer vehicle body panels with an improved interlock joint. The inner panel blank is draw stamped and provided with PLP holes in a stamping press. A plurality of conventional hardware components are then welded to the inner panel. Then interlock holes are formed by a piercing tool moving through the inner panel border from its outboard to its inboard side while the inner panel is held by clamps and PLP pins. The hole piercing punch thus leaves cold worked upset material slightly raised inboard, rather than outboard, around the pierced interlock hole margin. Then the inner panel subassembly is married to the outer panel and transferred to a hemming station and again precisely clamped and positioned by PLP pins, whereupon hemming press gates are operable for hemming the flange lip of the outer panel over the inner panel border. The final hemming steel of each gate carries staking punches that individually strike a precision registered portion of such hemmed lip to deform it into locking engagement with the associated interlock hole. The upset material is thus flattened and accurately worked into embedment into the interior surface of the hemmed flange lip, rather than into the interior surface of the outer panel, thereby avoiding creating read through problems on the outer panel.

A reference tag is fixed at a proper position in a positioning area; the coordinate of the proper position is measured in a relatively easy way; the signal intensity of the reference tag is read through an arranged RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) reader/writer every a section of time so as to adapt to the influence of the environment factor variation on the positioning error; and the positioned tag is attached to a target to be positioned; estimating the position of the tag in the space through the positioning tag signal received by the RFID reader/writer, wherein the method is implemented according to the following steps of: first, estimating an environment variable, wherein the estimation includes path consumption index estimation and normal distribution standard deviation estimation; and then constructing a virtual reference tag; and finally, realizing the positioning algorithm according to the virtual reference tag. By using the indoor positioning method disclosed by the invention, the problem of radio frequency signal interference brought by the setting of the high-density reference tag in the prior art is overcome, and flexible layout of the reference tag is obtained; meanwhile, the range of the positioning area is expanded and the indoor positioning precision is improved.

An apparatus, program product and method maintains data integrity for a logical partition by enabling nonintrusive switching of page tables used during a migration of the logical partition from a source computer system to a target computer system. A first page table may be configured to store a plurality of page entries made within a logically partitioned environment. A second page table may be used during migration to store one or more page entries generated during the migration. After migration, the processor page table pointer may be transparently switched to point to the first page table. A page entry in the second page table corresponding to a page entry made to the first page table by the logical partition may be invalidated in response to a page table hypervisor call made by the logical partition. In parallel, a plurality of entries generated during the migration of the logical partition in the second page table may be read through and invalidated. This reading through of the entries may be accomplished concurrently with the invalidation of the corresponding page entry in the second page table in response to a page table call made by the logical partition. Moreover, the reading of the entries may be accomplished in intervals and with portions of the plurality of entries.
