Abstract

The invention discloses a probe response frame sending method and equipment thereof. The method comprises: receiving a probe request frame from a terminal; acquiring the sending time of the last probe response frame sent to the terminal; and while the interval of between the sending time and the current time exceeds the preset threshold value, sending a probe response frame to the terminal. Bu using the invention, AP will not respond to every probe request frame when receiving a probe request frame from the terminal. For each STA, only when the interval of between the sending time and the current time exceeds the preset threshold value, AP sends a probe response frame to it; consequently, the probe response frame sending number is reduced, and the effect of the probe response frame to channel occupancy rate and network data service is reduced effectively.
