Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a multimedia session management method, network equipment and a network system thereof. The multimedia session management method provided comprises the following steps: a first session server receives the request of a participant; the first session server judges whether the meeting in which the participant requires to participate is managed by the first session server or not according to the request thereof; if so, the first session server accepts the participant; or otherwise, a second session server managing the meeting is determined; and the first session server initiates the shift of the participant towards the second session server so as to cause the participate to be shifted to the second session server. The technical proposal is used for causing the participants corresponding to the same meeting to be managed by the session server managing the meeting, reducing the impact on the whole cluster system when any session server breaks down and improving system performance.
