Abstract

The method comprises: when a mobile station needs local network information, the mobile station sending request message of local network information to an access gateway according to whether acquired access gateway supports the local network information visited by the mobile station; the mobile station receiving response returned by the access gateway, the response comprising local network information distributed to the mobile station by the access gateway. By using the invention, unnecessary information interaction between the mobile station and the access gateway is reduce, when the mobile station moves, large transmission time delay is avoided.
