The invention discloses a data acquisition method based on asynchronous transfer mode inverse multiplexing agreement (IMA). The method comprises: configuring IMA parameters by an IMA processing unit of the data acquisition equipment configures and accessing the IMA frame of the object to be acquired to an IMA data access unit of the data acquisition equipment; extracting an IMA control agreement cell in the accessed IMA frame and resolving to obtain IMA parameter configuration of the data source to be acquired; reconfiguring IMA parameters by the IMA processing unit according to the obtained IMA parameter configuration; setting a loopback to establish an IMA group in the data acquisition equipment; disconnecting the set loopback and performing delay compensation to the established IMA group; and acquiring the asynchronous transfer mode cell in the accessed IMA frame. With the invention adopted, normal data transmission and communication can be ensured while acquiring needed data.
