The invention relates to an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) agent subsystem of a GPON (Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Network) management system, which comprises an SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) agent module, an SNMP MIB (Simple Network Management Protocol Management Information Base) module, an OMCI (ONT Management and Control Interface) slave agent module and a protocol conversion module, wherein the SNMP agent module is used for realizing communication between a network management end and OLT (Optical Line Terminal) equipment and exchanges information with an SNMP management end through an SNMP protocol; the SNMP MIB module comprises a standard SNMP MIBII and a user-defined GPON MIB and is used for describing and setting the information of the OLT equipment and the information of managed equipment; the OMCI slave agent module is used for realizing communication with ONU (Optical Network Unit) equipment and exchanges information with ONU through an OMCI frame; and the protocol conversion module is used for realizing conversion of an SNMP frame based on the SNMP protocol and the OMCI frame based on an OMCI protocol.
