Embodiment

[0056] In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed SAS image segmentation method, we processed the imaging data obtained from Qiandao Lake. figure 2 Examples of SAS raw images such as figure 2 As shown, the image resolution is 0.08m, and the image has two artificial targets with shadow characteristics. image 3 is based on figure 2 The mean-standard deviation plane of , where the dotted line and the solid line represent the proportional relationship between the mean and standard deviation under the Rayleigh distribution and the K-distribution, respectively. It can be seen that the K-distribution is more in line with the statistical characteristics of the SAS image.

Abstract

The invention relates to a statistical property-based method for synthetic aperture sonar target detection. In the method, the detection is performed on the basis of an echo statistical model, and a model which has deterministic components and of which the echo is supposed to be surrounded by background noise and the size is dependent on pixel resolution and pretreatment link design is adopted. The method for synthetic aperture sonar target detection comprises the following steps of: firstly, mapping a synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) original image to a mean-standard deviation plane; secondly, automatically setting a threshold of standard deviation on the SAS original image through an entropy rule; thirdly, counting by a statistic analytical mode of the SAS original image to obtain a scale factor between a mean and the standard deviation in the mean-standard deviation plane, and obtaining a mean threshold by utilizing the scale factor and the threshold of the standard deviation; and finally, performing dual-threshold image segmentation on the SAS original image by utilizing the threshold of the standard deviation and the mean threshold.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of sonar system image processing, in particular to a synthetic aperture sonar target detection method based on statistical characteristics. Background technique [0002] The detection and identification of various mines using imagery is now a key strategic task. In the past decade, synthetic aperture sonar has been increasingly used for seabed imaging and high-resolution images have been obtained. Synthetic aperture sonar consists of an active sonar that travels in a straight line, thus simulating very long antennas. In reality, such a long antenna is impossible to build. These include economic and technical reasons. Image information includes conventional processing: the collected echoes are combined through delay compensation and beamforming, but, like other active coherent imaging systems, the image composed of these pixels contains a grainy nature that seriously hampers the interpretation of the data.
